Following a competitive tender process, Clarke Energy has been awarded the major undertaking of overhauling 22 INNIO Jenbacher gas powered gensets owned and operated by EDL across power stations spanning Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Clarke Energy technicians will undertake the 30,000-hour major services for thirteen 3MW Type-6 gensets and nine 1MW Type-3 gensets across four sites of this leading producer of sustainable distributed energy.
The scope of work is to service these gensets in their installed locations according to the specific Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Maintenance Schedule to ensure the highest level of availability and safety. It will also ensure EDL receives the maximum return on their asset investment.
As the only authorised service provider for Jenbacher in Australia, Clarke Energy was perfectly positioned to win the project involving the systematic disassembly, inspection and rebuild of the engines using only genuine OEM spare parts, while applying the specialist knowledge and expertise of service technicians that are backed by this world-class original equipment manufacturer.
The EDL project has provided valuable opportunities, upskilling and remote work experience for Clarke Energy’s apprentices who enjoy an apprentice program that’s unique in Australia – one that offers Australia-wide experience and remote travel.
Complementing EDL’s strong commitment to ensuring everyone working on their sites goes home safe every day, Clarke Energy’s extensive safety protocols, implemented across their entire operations, will work to ensure an incident and injury-free workplace.
