Clarke Energy, the Green Energy Solutions company and authorised Jenbacher AG distributor for the U.K. and Australia, is now able to offer a new development of the Jenbacher product range – the High Efficiency Concept (HEC) Engine.
Rated at 1.5MW on natural gas, the rated power output of the gas engine is around 40% higher than the current equivalent Jenbacher engine in the range. Essential components of the engine have been newly developed, drawing on more than 40 years of experience in gas engine manufacture.
The objective of the development was primarily a high degree of efficiency coupled with a reduction in service and maintenance requirements. The degree of mechanical efficiency, 44%, represents a level hitherto unknown for gas engines in this power range, one that is not even attained by new high performance diesel engines.
