Chênes Verts Energie has awarded Eiffage Energie as the main contractor of the renovation of an older generation greenhouse cogeneration plant in Chenes Verts’s greenhouses in Entressen.
Eiffage Energie has a full turnkey installation with Clarke Energy who installed a J620 natural gas fuelled combined heat and power plant.
As part of the contract with Clarke Energy, maintenance is carried out by Eiffage Energie.
The JMS 620 GS- NL high efficiency motor works 3,623 hours per year. It has an output of 3.3 MWe and its electrical efficiency has increased by 44%.
The gas engine recovers 70% of the heat and the exhaust gases are treated through the catalyst to generate CO2, which is necessary for growth of vegetables.
The electricity and heat recovery by Chênes Verts Energie generates significant savings and a reduction in costs. The anticipated savings to the customer’s energy bill will lower the cost of heating by 8 € per m².
