It is equally important for Bangladesh to have a long-term energy strategy that not only addresses immediate shortfalls, but also plans for future sustainable energy use. The policy should aim to balance the energy mix, incorporating renewable sources, nuclear power, and clean fossil fuels such as LNG. The dire need for renewable energy (e.g. biogas, solar, wind) is also being seen by Govt. and other involved organizations to solve the mitigating gas price and energy shortage.
