En anglais: Promoting Sustainable Power Solutions at Data Centres in India Event

At Clarke Energy’s offices in India, we were thrilled to participate in the conference titled “Data Centres in India”, where we had the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and innovators in the digital infrastructure space. The event was a platform for discussing the ever-evolving demands of powering critical data centers, telecommunication facilities, and cloud computing infrastructures, and how sustainable energy solutions are paving the way for future advancements.

Abhijit Rajguru – DGM Marketing & Business Development [India & Bangladesh] commented:

“One of the key highlights of the event was our focus on gas gensets as a reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for base load power and diesel displacement in large scale digital infrastructure projects. As the digital economy continues to expand, the need for reliable power sources to support data centers, cloud servers, and other essential infrastructure has never been more pressing. These facilities require uninterrupted power to maintain operations, often 24×7. Traditionally diesel gensets have been the go-to solution for ensuring power availability. However, with global sustainability goals and the growing concern over carbon emissions, gas powered gensets are emerging as a superior alternative”.

INNIO’s Jenbacher gas gensets offer significant advantages over diesel in terms of both environmental impact and operational efficiency. By switching to natural gas, digital infrastructure projects can reduce their carbon footprint, helping meet stricter regulatory standards and sustainability objectives.

Key benefits:

  1. Lower emissions: Natural gas burns cleaner than diesel, producing significantly lower greenhouse gases and pollutants, making it more eco-friendly option for energy generation.
  2. Cost efficiency: Gas gensets typically have lower fuel and maintenance costs than diesel-powered systems, offering operational savings over long term.
  3. Reliability and scalability: Gas gensets are proven to provide continuous, stable power, essential for the smooth operation of data centers and other critical infrastructure.
  4. Flexibility in energy solutions: Gas powered systems can easily be integrated into hybrid power setups alongside renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, ensuring that digital infrastructure facilities are supported by sustainable diverse power grids.

Abhijit Rajguru added “In the world focused on decarbonization, diesel displacement is an important part of the energy transition. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation was on full display at the 7th Edition “Data Centres in India” conference where we showcased INNIO’s Jenbacher gas engine technology tailored to the needs of the digital infrastructure industry. By helping businesses meet their power demands with cleaner, more efficient solutions, we’re confident that gas-powered gensets will play an integral role in the future of digital transformation”.

Thank you to all those who visited our booth at “Data Centres in India” conference and engaged in insightful discussions on these critical topics. We look forward to continuing to partner with businesses in the digital infrastructure sector to power the future, today.
