En Anglais: Lord Green Opens New Parts & Cylinder Head Site

Clarke Energy announces the opening of its new parts and cylinder head facility located adjacent to its Global Head Office in Liverpool. The facility was officially opened this week by Lord Green, Minister for Trade and Investment.

It constitutes an investment of a further £1.5million in the local area, has facilitated the recent employment of 12 people and will support the regions contribution to the green economy.

The building will have a number of functions. Primarily it will be used as a workshop to facilitate the recycling used GE Jenbacher gas engine cylinder heads. These heads will be taken from the existing GE Jenbacher fleet in the UK which consists of over 700 engines generating over 800 megawatts of high efficiency and renewable energy.

Lord Green and Clive Drinkwater with Jamie Clarke, Jim Clarke and Steve Eilbeck from Clarke EnergyIn addition to the overhaul facility the building will house an expansion of Clarke Energy’s stores for GE Jenbacher spare parts; the largest in the world outside GE’s factory in Jenbach, Austria. Further expansion is already scheduled for the building with additional offices and meeting rooms planned in the coming months.
