Clarke Energy Ltd are continuing their success in the UK, Australia and New Zealand by opening their first office as the exclusive distributors for GE Jenbacher, in India. The acquisition of Cogen India was completed in November 2003 and culminated with the opening of a new head office in Pune. Anand Bhishikar, Managing Director, heads the new office in Pune supported by an experienced team of time served engineers and professionals, including a dedicated field service team. An additional service centre in Baroda and sales offices in Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata are soon to complement the current service set up at Ankleshwar.
Clarke Energy’s experience in the gas engine, renewable energy market represents a clear benefit to the Indian office and to GE Jenbacher’s prospects within the sub-continent. Clarke Energy’s ability to work through projects from delivery to full turnkey installations represents a comprehensive package of engineering expertise that will enhance GE Jenbacher’s presence in the region. Trading under the new name of Clarke Energy India Pvt. Ltd, plans are already underway to increase the established capacity of 30 megawatts to 75 mega
watts in the next two years, keeping in mind the growing needs of the Indian market.
