Clarke Energy and GE hosted an event in Detroit on the 17th April 2018, focusing on power generation for the automotive sector. The event took place at the historic Ford Piquette Avenue plant, the birth place of the Model T Ford in Detroit, Michigan.

The event focused on highlighting the benefits combined heat and power technology for the automotive manufacturing sector. In particular its track record in reducing carbon emissions and operational costs, along with delivering resilience for the manufacturing processes.

A variety of car related manufacturing facilities can benefit from CHP technology including car or motorcycle assembly plants, Formula 1, power trains, engines, tyres, radiators, plastic mouldings, airbags and fabrics.

GE highlighted their automotive manufacturing reference list which included BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche.

Adam Wray-Summerson, Clarke Energy’s new US Sales Director highlighted Clarke Energy’s experience in feasibility analysis for CHP for industrial sector clients including those in the automotive manufacturing industry. Feasibility analysis is followed by design, engineering, installation and commissioning of gas engine based CHP plants.

If you operate in the automotive sector and have a potential opportunity for CHP, please contact your local Clarke Energy office.
