The Combined Heat and Power Unit (CHP) was constructed in order to reduce the high heating costs on site. The produced electricity is sold on to EDF.
Two JMS 620 GS-N.LC engines were installed in 2005. The first engine operates at 18 bar for effective output at 6300V, the second operates at 20 bar for effective output at 6900V.
The thermal output from two different versions of the same engine enabled the best possible configuration for the installation.
The equipment is constantly reviewed by a system of telemonitoring via Internet.
