Clarke Energy in France has been ranked as the 36th  fastest growing company by the Grand Prix of Growth Enterprise 2019, with a growth rate of +127.82% (2015-2017). The ceremony for the 6th edition of the awards take place on 5th June to honour the 1000 Francophone businesses ranked.
The Grand Prix of Growth Enterprises is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Leaders League Group to reward fast growing French companies at the national level.
Clarke Energy have operated in France since 2004 and we are now a market leader in the field of cogeneration in the country, with full capabilities for the design and delivery of a turn-key power plant, whilst also being the support base for Francophone Africa.
Clarke Energy’s innovative strategy to projects in France continued last year when they opened their first biogas upgrading plant at a waste water treatment facility in Perpignan. The biogas cleaning technology consists of treating the biogas in order to obtain biomethane, similar to natural gas. The first biomethane cubic meters are injected into the Gaz Reseau Distribution France (GRDF) network and the unit can thus provide the equivalent of the annual consumption of 1,200 homes.
Clarke Energy recently completed a major project within one year for the SOBEGI Pegaze project, for whom TOTAL is the main shareholder. The installation of 5 INNIO Jenbacher gas engines produces a combined total of 20MW of electricity, 7MW hot water and 10 t/h steam from the Gaz de Lacq, the largest natural gas field in France.
