Clarke Energy’s offices in India celebrate Holi, a traditional Hindu festival. It is celebration of colour and love, as well as the triumph of good over evil and is the most vibrant of all.
On the day of 6th March 2023 – Holika Dahan day, Clarke Energy India’s Human Resource department organized pot painting competition, marrying the colourful festival with art therapy. It was an event where the employees had to paint the earthen pots with the help of the other team members. The themes were decided by the employees and the participants painted the pots very artistically.
The event was judged by Mr. Punit Garg – Managing Director, Clarke Energy India Private Limited. On the occasion, he commented:
“Holi is celebration of colour and love and this pot painting competition organized has not only helped our employees to enhance their creative skills but has also enriched their sense of team participation”.
About Festival Holi:
Holi is best known for the powder that individuals throw on each other, leaving festival goers coated in colour by the end of the day. But this is just one part of Holi, which is split into two events: Holika Dahan and Rangwali Holi. Holika Dahan takes place the night before Rangwali Holi. Wood and dung-cakes are burned in a symbolic pyre to signify good defeating evil. The next morning, people gather in public spaces and take part in Rangwali Holi. This is an affair where people chase each other around, throwing handfuls of coloured powders (known as gulal) at one another, while getting drenched in water.
