Clarke Energy Australasia Grand Opening Celebrations in Adelaide

Clarke Energy Australasia, a subsidiary of the global powerhouse KOHLER Company, recently officially opened its new regional headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia. The state-of-the-art facility is a testament to the company’s position as the premier provider of power solutions across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific region.

On Friday, 24 November 2023, the red carpet was rolled out for the building’s official grand opening.  Clarke Energy Australasia’s clients, industry leading VIPs and employees of Clarke Energy were invited to Adelaide to celebrate the grand opening. The event provided an opportunity for guests to tour the facility, network and connect while enjoying live music and savoring delicious South Australia canapes, and beverages.

Guests were able to appreciate the investment Clarke Energy has made to help manage existing and future growth, and see for themselves the new buildings inclusive of the new technical training facility, and staff dedicated to power generation solutions.

The team at Clarke Energy Australasia welcomed CEO, Jamie Clarke, who travelled from the United Kingdom to be part of this significant milestone. Both Jamie and Clarke Energy Australasia Managing Director, Greg Columbus, addressed the crowd, highlighting the growth of the Australasian division and thanking the customers and employees that have been a part of the history and those who continue to participate in what will undoubtedly be an exciting future.

Throughout the festivities, guests enjoyed a comprehensive tour of the facility.

With ample space to accommodate a diverse team of 120 employees, the building’s design harmoniously blends aesthetics and functionality. The building fosters collaboration and innovation across the various departments, featuring spacious areas dedicated to sales, engineering, service, training, corporate services, and spare parts, creating an environment conducive to productivity and efficiency.

A standout feature is the state-of-the-art Training Centre, facilitating hands-on training for service technicians on both Jenbacher (320, 620 and 624) and KOHLER engines as well as various on and off-site control and monitoring systems, including control systems equipment configuration and testing, and in-house factory acceptance testing of control systems.

With an annual spend of A$500,000 by Clarke Energy Australia, the Training Centre further enhances the company’s commitment to continuous learning and development for employees, and providing superior after-sales support to customers, which includes:

  • Providing Jenbacher training to 357 people over the past 5 years.
  • Completion of 20 field tasks to obtain VOC (Verification of Competency).
  • Over 100 people certified for Kohler industrial product training.
  • 50 people certified for Kohler marine range product training.

The celebrations continued throughout the weekend as guests were invited to stay in Adelaide to enjoy the VAILO Adelaide 500 as Clarke Energy’s guests, featuring V8 race cars and concluding with a concert by global superstar, Robbie Williams.
