The Transition to Clean Hydrogen in France: How Clarke Energy Can Help

The French government has launched its first call for tenders for renewable or low-carbon hydrogen under the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, marking a crucial milestone in the country’s journey towards industrial decarbonization.

Set to close in March 2025, the initiative targets electrolytic hydrogen projects ranging from 5MW to 100MW, with financial support awarded in proportion to the amount of decarbonized hydrogen produced over a period of up to 15 years. This groundbreaking program underlines France’s commitment to playing a leading role in the transition to net zero.

Solutions for the production and use of hydrogen

Hydrogen production

For hydrogen production, we offer tailor-made engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for power plants equipped with electrolyzers. These solutions are designed to maximize the efficiency and sustainability of your installations.

Hydrogen use

For the use of hydrogen, we can offer you turnkey INNIO Jenbacher internal combustion engine installations. These engines are ideal for generating electricity, heat or cooling and can be integrated with other renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, to form the backbone of a fully renewable microgrid.

By using green hydrogen to power the engine, you can achieve a zero-carbon solution.

Already have a Jenbacher engine? We can retrofit existing engines to run on hydrogen, ensuring a smooth transition to zero-carbon operation when hydrogen becomes more widely available.

A sustainable strategy

This approach supports a long-term sustainable energy strategy that evolves with the market. At Clarke Energy, our mission is to streamline and optimize your transition to a cleaner energy future.
