Clarke Energy has successfully completed a key milestone for Kalium Lakes Limited Beyondie Sulphate of Potash (SOP) mine in Western Australia. Now the project, one of the first of its kind in Australia, prepares for commencement of the process plant commissioning activities in the next few weeks.
Clarke Energy has been praised by Rudolph van Niekerk, Chief Executive Officer of Kalium Lakes, for achieving the successful gas power station commissioning and performance testing on time and on budget.
“This milestone represents a major step forward and significantly de-risks the project in meeting its first production targets. The power station for the Beyondie SOP Project has now been commissioned and is ready to provide power for the process plant commissioning that is due to start in the next few weeks,” said Mr Van Niekerk.
Clarke Energy designed, supplied, installed and commissioned the 7.5MW gas-fuelled power plant including three 2.5MW INNIO Group Jenbacher 616 gas engines and a KOHLER Power – Generators KV440C2 black start generator.
